Joboshare PS3 Video Converter

Joboshare PS3 Video Converter is a video conversion utility that can be used to convert your video files so that you can play them on your Playstation 3 or PSP.

There are 11 conversion profiles available for Sony's consoles. They use the MPEG-2, H.264 and MPEG-4 formats, and the resolutions that are available range from 480p to 1080p. This application isn't limited to converting to the aforementioned formats, though. It actually has good format support. If you click on "Common Video" in the conversion profile class drop-down menu, you will see the entire list of available video codecs. The most popular ones are included.

You can change individual conversion settings for any conversion profile. Some of the options that you can modify are bitrate, frame rate, aspect ratio, video and audio codecs, channels, and sample rate.

In my testing, the application performed rather well. The quality of the converted files was good and the speed was on par with similar solutions. There are a couple missing features that I would like to be added, though. This app is missing GPU support, a video editor, and it doesn't tell you the estimated time for completion of the conversion process.
